ABOUT

I’m Yoli. I’m a graphic designer currently working in sunny Florida. I love crafting functional brand identities, designing beautiful packaging, and nerding out on type. Playing games and listening to an eclectic array music are a few of my hobbies. After serving over 20 years as a design consultant and production manager, I decided to branch out and do my own thing.

I’m always looking for new opportunities to work on creative projects. I love learning new things and will research to find just the vibe you’re looking for.

WORK PROCESS

1. CREATIVE BRIEF

Meeting with the client and asking relevant questions regarding the brand, its offering, requirements and expectations for the project.

The Creative Brief covers:

  • Company Information
  • Brand guidelines
  • Target audiences
  • Project timeline
  • Delivery format
  • Budget

2. RESEARCH

Conducting research to understand the product or service they will be representing, and observe the client’s competitors and their designs.

This allows me to see what works and what doesn’t in competitors’ designs, identify potential issues and figure out how to make improvements.

Research also helps find inspiration for design ideas and determine the design approach they will take for a particular project.

3. CONCEPT

Brainstorm design ideas and start building the rough mockup for the final product. It uses simple shapes to provide a visual representation of what the final design will look like.

This is shown to the client to make sure that it aligns with what they asked for.

4. DESIGN

When the client approves the initial concept or mockup, the we proceed to the design.

In this stage, I start adding design elements to the sketch or mockup, including color, shape, typography, space, imagery and animation. Often, I create several variations of the design so the client can choose between them.

5. FEEDBACK

After submitting the design to the client, it is time to collect feedback. This is valuable because it ensures the work is aligned with client expectations.

If the client requests any changes in the design, I can then update their work to implement the requested changes. Depending on the project, this process may take a while and may require implementing changes multiple times after each round of feedback.

The process is repeated until the client is content with the design and feel it fully meets their requirements.

6. Final Delivery

When the client approves the updated design, it is time to deliver the final product.

I will send the work in the requested format, using the correct file type and size, so the client does not need to make any edits and can implement the design into whatever format they need.
